Seriously, who would’ve thought the East Coast would be battling blazes like the West Coast? My heart goes out to everyone dealing with that madness. On a more personal note, I’m sharing some life updates, including a big shift in my world as I prep my house for sale after an amicable split. Yup, life’s throwing me some curveballs, but I’m embracing it and gearing up for a fresh start—complete with new projects and a healthy new relationship! Buckle up, because there's a lot brewing this week, and I can’t wait to share it all!

Speaker A:Happy midweek Update this is our little special that airs on Wednesdays that comes in between each weekend show stuff that didn't make it into last weekend's show and stuff that's not going to make it into this weekend's show.
Speaker A:And we do have a great show coming up this weekend which will be very spring oriented, which we'll talk about later this week.

Speaker A:Now today I wanted to talk about a few things that my thoughts go out to the people out there in New Jersey that are battling some wildfires.
Speaker A:It is crazy.
Speaker A:The stuff that was such a West coast problem has now slid across the US and we are seeing more and more wildfires in places that we just really never noticed.
Speaker A:Maybe it's the national news, maybe it's the way it's covered, but I do not remember big wildfires on the east coast like this that we would see pretty regularly every year out here in the West Coast.
Speaker A:So if you are one of our wonderful, fabulous east coast listeners or if you live in other parts of the country, pay attention to what we have learned out here on the West Coast.
Speaker A:I've done a bunch of episodes on wildfires.
Speaker A:We've done a couple this year on Prevention.
Speaker A:You can go onto the podcast, take a look, look at certain episodes and if you want, send me a message over to around the House Online and I'll I'll send you those episodes so you have a place to find them if you're wanting to learn more about how to prepare for a wildfire so your home can be just a little bit safer.
Speaker A:We'll talk a little bit more about that later here in the episode today.
Speaker A:But I just wanted to mention that to you guys out there as that's hitting the news this morning on Wednesday.
Speaker A:It's something that I feel bad for those people out there trying to Battle that.
Speaker A:And so many people don't have the resources we have out here.
Speaker A:It's like when Las Vegas gets snow, they don't have snowplows.
Speaker A:At least out here we have airplanes, we have wildfire rigs.
Speaker A:We have a lot of things that we can use to battle those wildfires.
Speaker A:And when you get into areas where it really hasn't been that prevalent, I'm sure you guys are not as prepared or have the level of equipment that we have out here.
Speaker A:And we still lose a lot of stuff.
Speaker A:Just like California.
Speaker A:It's tough to battle Mother Nature when she has got her wrath going on out there.
Speaker A:Today, I want to talk about a shift.
Speaker A:I'm not putting this in the episode description because this is just for you guys here.
Speaker A:I'm not going to be diving into this one that deep.
Speaker A:But definitely some changes around my world.
Speaker A:Eric Gorenson versus Around the House.
Speaker A:You're not going to see too many changes.
Speaker A:But right now I am getting my house ready for sale because yes, Julie and I did split up earlier this year and I will be putting my house up for sale.
Speaker A:We had a very amicable split.
Speaker A: Not my plan for: Speaker A:These things happen.
Speaker A:It's real life, guys.
Speaker A:So now I'm putting my house together to put it up in the market so I can move on to my next chapter of life, which will still be a part of around the House.
Speaker A:It you might see some differences on my social media.
Speaker A:She played a part in that over the last nearly eight years.
Speaker A:And I've decided to be just respectful.
Speaker A:So there's no.
Speaker A:There's no anger, there's no mourning anymore of that.
Speaker A:It's.
Speaker A:It's a chapter that's closed and I'm very thankful.
Speaker A:And it's so funny how life works.
Speaker A:You sit there and get blindsided and then all of a sudden you work through that and something better comes right around the corner and surprises you when you least expect it.
Speaker A:Yeah, I've got an amazing new relationship that is by far the healthiest one I've ever had.
Speaker A:She loves to do projects, so I will not be doing these big projects by myself.
Speaker A:She will be playing a part in those.
Speaker A:She had that dad that had the wood shop, had all that stuff that really learned to do diy.
Speaker A:So I've got a great partner for the next chapter and I'm super excited for that as we go along.
Speaker A:So I'm not going to be posting as much up about that.
Speaker A:I'm going to still keep things A little more private.
Speaker A:And that's just so I can create great content for you guys on the social media stuff.
Speaker A:Sometimes less is more with social media in my private life and I'm gonna be definitely do that.
Speaker A:And it just makes it a little bit nicer to to do that and a little bit safer out there in today's social media world.
Speaker A:But rest assured, I'm doing awesome.
Speaker A:I'm doing amazing.
Speaker A:I could not be happier.
Speaker A:Right now I've got to get this house wrapped up to put the bow around the final chapter of that and off to new projects, off to newer and greater stuff.
Speaker A:So I'm very excited about that, going to get this project done.
Speaker A:I've got a busy few weeks ahead, probably the next 60 days.
Speaker A:If I hammer on this house and get stuff done, we'll be doing a lot more content here to get things wrapped up and then I'll be moving on to the next one.
Speaker A:So there's a lot of great stuff going on, new chapters, new projects, new everything.
Speaker A:So can't wait to show you some of the stuff we'll be doing out there.
